Glacier National Park has been a long-time dream of mine to visit. I want to wake up in the crisp mountain air, surrounded by iconic sunrise colors and vastness, taking in the amazing natural water and rock formations. Kenai Fjords National Park is another breathtaking park renowned for its retreating glaciers and diverse wildlife. Finally, literally being able to win the lottery and drive to Denali National Park with its expansive tundra landscapes, glaciers, and rugged mountains.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Experiencing the breathtaking beauty of nature alongside its inhabitants has been one of my best adventure experiences. I once fished next to a mama bear, who was far more successful than I was but graciously shared her space with me. Another time, I floated through Alaskan waters in an inflatable kayak with humpback whales swimming alongside. I also enjoyed ice skating across the lake at Mendenhall Glacier and exploring the stunning blues of the ice caves.
What would you do with $10,000?If I were to dedicate $10,000 to explore National Parks, I would focus on improving accessibility to the parks. This would involve constructing ramps, establishing accessible trails, providing funding for adaptive equipment, and setting up a borrowing system for those who require such equipment. Additionally, I would like to sponsor the creation of an accessibility guide that offers comprehensive information for visitors with disabilities. Finally, I would share my epic adventures to inspire.
