Yosemite is on the top of the list. 40 years ago, we drove into the park but sadly, didn’t have time to stay. I want the opportunity to hike and see it all! And Olympic National Park!! Any forest is enchanting but Hoh Rain Forest looks like magic on earth.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?After a brutal divorce, I walked the Camino d’ Santiago- all 480 miles. I was 61, and it was life-affirming, yet I think my favorite adventure was walking the Coast to Coast, across England when I was 63. I had envisioned sheep grazing on gentle rolling hills. Big mistake! It was very challenging! To finish it was a proud moment. More recently, I spent 42 days in France traipsing around the country, walking in my ancestors footsteps, feeling the feels, and immersed in the beauty!
What would you do with $10,000?“Ultimate Explorer” is not a title usually associated with a 70-year-old woman. I want to change that!! I’m committed to investing a year of my life visiting all the National Parks possible in that time; taking photos, and writing about my journey in the hope of inspiring others to see (and feel) the many un-repayable experiences that nature gives us.
