You decide who will win $10,000, embark on an expedition in a Winnebago RV, and appear in Outside Magazine
Yosemite is my second home (my grandparents built the original cabin in the 50s). The national park in my current sight-line is Grand Teton National Park because I can paddle (and will do my best to) in 100+ lakes. We visited during a fire last time I was there, so while we made it to June, Leigh and String Lake, the visibility was low. I can't wait to see the views, the Teton mountain range, and the beauty sans smoke. Post paddle ritual, bourbon (I know Jackson Hole has some great ones!)
What has been your favorite adventure experience?First RV trip with my triplets—four weeks, in the Four Winds (rented) and from Bodie down to Sedona (Snoopy Rock and the infamous "Jackalopes") to Bryce Canyon (lost my indestructible soccer ball to the HooDoos) to Zion (Weeping Wall and the Narrows) up to Yellowstone (can you say lightning storm at Old Faithful) to Jackson Hole (biking, rafting and popcorn on the floor bar) through Reno (Cowboy Poetry) home. Adventure confirmed, apples don't fall far from the tree. Trio are travellers too!
What would you do with $10,000?Plan my next adventure—in the USA, it would be New Orleans (gotta paddle on the bayou, right) and Abroad, it would be Bora Bora (have you seen the water and the huts over water). Bora Bora is a Stand Up Paddlers dream! All I can say is (and yes, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan): "And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure," Dumbledore, chapter 3 of The Half-Blood Prince.
