I would want to go back to Arizona hit the hot springs along the Colorado River and continue on to hike in Bryce Canyon, Arches, Zion, Canyon Lands and Sequoia National Park where I got engaged over 13 years ago. Having Forestry as my background and a true nature lover, while standing amongst the tallest trees in the world was magical. What has been your favorite adventure experience?So far my favourites would include Alaska and Hawaii each having hands on experiences we can only dream of. In Hawaii I was fortunate enough to hike into an active volcano on the Big Island of which I was only metres away from active lava rolling down the mountain into the sea. In Alaska hiking in the hardwood forests high in the mountains experiencing wildlife, birds and plants I have never seen. As an avid botanist I was thrilled to take photos identifying edible and medicinal plants from away
What would you do with $10,000?I would use some of the money to pay for bussing students to learn in Nature’s classroom outdoors as I teach hands on science lessons. I would use some for recreational equipment for schools that need it. Donate to newcomers programs in my community and do some long distance biking and exploring in new places I haven’t yet been too. It’s about sharing experiences, skills and making a positive impact in my community. The legacy of running a forest school one day is still part of my dream.
