In 2018 we sold it all, retired early, and live a home free nomadic life. We love to pedal, paddle and play. OUTSIDE is our happy place!

For us it’s always been about the forests and being in nature. We love heading to remote places where you have to drive a little off the beaten path. Yosemite & the California Redwoods are two national parks that we would love to explore. There is something magical about being amongst the giant old trees & mountains, where time seems to stand still. We love camping in the BLM’s across the USA, and are stoked to keep discovering so many incredible national parks and hidden gems along the way.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?The one we’re on right now! Every day is an adventure when you live a home-free life. Each day when you make a decision like turn left or right can impact your life in ways you didn’t imagine ! If we had to pick, paddling the Porcupine River with our paddling buds pushed our limits mentally, physically & emotionally as we navigated some of the gnarliest rapids, canyons & ravines in the remote NWT & SK. It was one of those trips that we will never forget. Outside is where adventure begins!
What would you do with $10,000?We would definitely take $1,000 and set it aside for a canoe bursary so some young teens can do an introductory whitewater course, as that’s what got us started! The rest of the funds would go towards paddling the Nahanni river in Canada as it is costly, remote and has always been on our bucket list, but was out of our $ reach. It’s one trip we would do with a guide as it’s just so huge, remote and hey, we’re in our sixties now & we think a little differently than we did 10-15 yrs ago!
