I dream of visiting Olympic National Park in Washington and experiencing the forest that looks out of a fantasy. I also would love to visit Volcano National Park in Hawaii. As a photographer, I've always wanted to capture lava spewing into the air and flowing down the black volcanic rock. Lava is captivating and mesmerizing to me and I'd love to experience it first hand and witness the true power of nature. I missed the Icelandic eruption by 3 weeks so I've been hoping to witness a safe volcano.
What has been your favorite adventure experience? My favorite adventure experience was backpacking in the Vietnam rice fields in Sapa. We hiked 20 miles over 4 days through the mountains, rice fields, and past several small towns. We stayed every night with the locals - in their home, eating home-cooked food, and seeing authentic rural lifestyle. My favorite part was the real conversations - listening to our tour guides and hosts talk about their life. They experience new places and cultures through giving tours instead of traveling new places.
What would you do with $10,000?I would use $10,000 to continue scaling my apparel brand, On A Limb Apparel - my ultimate goal is to motivate people to explore the world, try new things, and adventure more. I'd partner with a nonprofit that helps achieve these goals. I will give back by making it more accessible to experience these trips or activities. I believe that the more people experience, the more they will protect nature, and grow personally.
