I've always dreamed of visiting Gates of the Arctic National Park. The untouched wilderness and rich Inupiat culture fascinate me. As a social studies teacher, experiencing their traditional lifestyle firsthand and understanding the conservation challenges would be incredible. By building relationships and gaining a deeper understanding, I aim to advocate for these cultures and environments through teaching future generations about the past, addressing present challenges, preserving the future.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Exploring the mid and Pacific Northwest with my husband has been incredible. One of my favorite adventures was studying the Emigrant Trail and Native American petroglyphs and cultures throughout the Southwest. The rich history and intricate stories behind these ancient carvings fascinated me, deepening my appreciation for the native cultures and their connection to the land. These experiences fuel my passion for teaching and preserving the stories of the land and its people for the future.
What would you do with $10,000?With $10,000, my husband and I would invest in buying a home in our local community of Mount Shasta. As avid explorers, we’ve shared countless outdoor adventures and wish to anchor our next chapter in a place that reflects our passion for nature. This home would be our base for future explorations and a haven to cherish our journeys together.
