I would love to visit Glacier National Park to see it's beauty first hand, it's a hikers dream. I want to hike to the vast waterfalls it has to offer, and swim in the pristine lakes. I would love to wake up with the snow cap mountains surrounding and end my long days of hiking watching the sunset over the mountains. Memories like these would stay with me for a lifetime, if I were given a chance to win this competition.

My two best friends and I planned a road trip traveling up the east coast of United States all the way down to the Florida Keys and along the southern United States. We also traveled up to the Northern part of California. We camped under the stars almost every night. We were able to visit some of the most popular National Parks along the way and even camp in them. This was a celebration trip for the 3 of us for graduating from Americorps National Civilian Community Corps.

I would like to hike the Pacific Crest Trail on my own to prove to myself that I can do it. Hiking the PCT I will get to immerse myself in mother nature’s beauty, sleeping under the stars, waking up to the sun on my face, the fresh air, the smells, the fresh water. Winning this will allow me to be able to purchase gear that will be able to withstand the elements for this once in a lifetime adventure. It will also allow me to not be subjected to only eating PB&J sandwiches while traveling again!
