You decide who will win $10,000, embark on an expedition in a Winnebago RV, and appear in Outside Magazine
So many!! I think Glacier is number one to get my boots on the ground. But also Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Olympic, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Joshua Tree. And really all the others. Anywhere I am out in nature. Chance to climb a mountain, hug a tree and sleep under stars. I’ve gotten to Rocky Mountain, Arches, Bryce and Zion. But there is so much different terrain and wildlife throughout our country and I want to touch and see it all.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Tanzania. Hiking Kilimanjaro and safari in the Serengeti. Hanging out in an open jeep next to 2 cheetah brothers for an hour without another vehicle in sight is incredible. But having your tent rubbed by lion in the middle of the night will give you a scare. Although no more than being charged by a bull elephant in Kruger NP, South Africa. While open water snorkeling in MuKoAngThong NP, Thailand and Great Barrier Reef, Australia are also trips I’ll never forget.
What would you do with $10,000?Honestly, I’d use some to fund my next personal adventure. Not sure where to yet, maybe Alaska. But some would also go to the next project. My mom and I have a nonprofit which does social service projects in central and southern Africa. It’s how I’ve been to the Serengeti and Kruger. We take teams to build houses or schools and do work in orphanages or clinics. Connecting with the communities and organizations already on the ground where we work. Who wants to go with us?
