Denali or Zion would be awesome but I’d have to pick Glacier National Park. Hands down an explorers paradise and one I’ve never been to.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?My second successful climb of Rainier. I went guided the first time with IMG International Mountain Guides. I then returned the following year and helped guide a group of friends. We experienced glaciers, seracs, crevasses, cornices and sub freezing temps. A glaciated, active volcano and part of the ring of fire! What an awesome mountain.
What would you do with $10,000?I would refresh some old gear. I prefer everything analog but I’d opt for an RTT to do the Alpine Loop with my wife. I would upgrade my sleeping bag system and reluctantly invest in a solid GPS. I’d save the rest and visit Patagonia, Peru or climb Mt. Hood. Trekking poles are on the list along with a hydration vest. I would also swap out some Merino for Alpaca.
