You decide who will win $10,000, embark on an expedition in a Winnebago RV, and appear in Outside Magazine
I would have to pick either the Torngat National park, or auyuittuq national park for the remoteness and untouched beauty. The wildlife and the landscapes in these parks are like nothing else in the country. I’ve been to the Torngats briefly while working on a cruise ship. But to hike and stay in the park would be a dream come true.
What has been your favorite adventure experience? This past spring, I caught the opportunity to camp underneath the aurora borealis, while camped on a cliff next to an amazing iceberg. Listening to the iceberg bump on the bottom throughout the night, wondering if it was going to ‘founder’ or collapse in the night was a somewhat Erie feeling! It was something that may never line up again with the ability to camp so close to a berg and have the aurora show up the same night!!
What would you do with $10,000?I would take the money and invest it into a rack system and rooftop tent for my truck. I would love to be able to have a system where we could travel with the tent and the kayaks at the same time. If there was anything left over it would be put towards a trip to Iceland or Scotland with my wife. We are celebrating 22 years this year, and we have found a new love for travel. And these two places are at the top of the list. Maybe a van trip around Iceland or trucktop tenting in Scotland??
