I dream of rock climbing in Andringitra National Park because of it's incredible natural scenery including indigenous flora and fauna, cascading waterfalls and the soaring peaks! It is considered to be Madagascar’s most scenic park and there are many plants and animals like the "dancing lemur" that are not found anywhere else on the planet. I also would love to do a road trip through the national parks in the US that have rock climbing like Yosemite, Zion, Bryce and Joshua Tree. Amazing!
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Trekking in Ethiopia! We just started hiking and when night came we did not find a village so we used hand signals to ask a farmer if we could sleep in his house. They had a round house that was warmed by the farm animals. I slept by a cow and my friend by a hen! They cooked us a local breakfast of delicious ingira. In the morning they made us coffee from beans they had grown locally and milk directly the cow I slept with. Best cappacino ever!
What would you do with $10,000?Help the beautiful Jasper National Park, my home and playground for the last 32 years, to recover from the fires that ravished it in July. I would also travel to Madagascar to explore this amazing unique country, rockclimb and try raise awareness to the world of the need to preserve the nature there. They are a poor country and need help prioritizing their amazing nature. I would also raise awareness for the need to protect/preserve all of our national parks in North America too!
