Isle Royale. It’s the least visited national park in the Lower 48, but arguably one of the more stunning, depending on what appeals to you. No cars on the island, and only accessible via boat or seaplane. That sounds like an adventure unto itself.
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Ending up in super-small towns with tight-knit communities. Places that aren’t destinations generally but they turn out to be total highlights. Meeting the people who live in these places is also a really great exercise in perspective. Places like Bisbee AZ, Eureka Springs AR, and Jim Thorpe PA top this list.
What would you do with $10,000?I’d put it away for a more permanent home in the future. Doesn’t mean I’d stop exploring - I think life after nomading will be a bit more hybrid - but it’d be nice to have somewhat of a home base again where I can plan new adventures, but also enjoy a little more domesticity. I love living on the road full time, but I really miss baking since I don’t have access to an oven in my vehicle. A flushable toilet is also something I’d enjoy on a more consistent basis. Really is the little things.
