What national park do you dream of visiting?

I've visited a number of units in the National Park System, and it's not so much a new park that I want to visit but a national park to which I've already traveled and just scratched the surface of what's there: Yellowstone National Park. From geology to ecology to wildlife, to archaeology, America's and the world's first national park offers some amazing sights, sounds, and even smells!

What has been your favorite adventure experience?

Actually, I have three experiences which are tied as my favorite: spending a week at Katmai National Park in Alaska photographing the brown bears, taking an open-door helicopter ride with my cameras over an active eruption (not Kilauea) at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, and spending a little over a week visiting Yellowstone National Park during the winter, when things look remarkably different and - aside from the steam sounds of geysers - and are much, much quieter and definitely much colder.

What would you do with $10,000?

I'd reserve a room or cabin at each of the historic lodges in Yellowstone National Park during the course of a year to see and photograph the changing seasons and how different the park looks during each season. If I was driving that Winnebago, I'd also camp at as many sites in the park as the RV would fit. Then, I'd photograph and write about the history, the lodging, the sights, the landscape, and the wildlife within this national park.
