We would like to thank you for supporting Sheryl in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid the National Park Foundation in their mission to protect, preserve, and connect people everywhere to the wonder of parks.
Yosemite has always been on my bucket list. It also has some dog friendly areas so that’s a plus with our dogs. It also has more developed areas that will be good with a stroller for our baby, but we were gifted an infant hiking pack. Between hikes, biking, some paddling and scenery we could spend quite a bit of time there!
What has been your favorite adventure experience?Tie between Archers National Park and sailing in the British Virgin Islands. Archers was my first national park trip without family at age 18. I was taking a Geology of National Parks class and pitched the idea to go 3 friends came with. Hiking was amazing, I’d never seen rock formations like that before and we lucked out that our rafting tour guide graduated with a degree in Geology so we learned about all the rocks in Moab area.
What would you do with $10,000?I would use it to plan out as many national/state park trips as possible for each summer. My husband is a teacher so we could go for at least a month each summer. Great way to get out of the AZ summer heat for a while too. We both love the outdoors so it’s already in our plans to go, but that amount of $ would ensure we go. An IG account would help us promote parks and we could use it to raise $ for the National Park Foundation. I have a background in fundraising so we’d use the $ to boost funds
